The College of Industrial Technology (CIT) Misurata is a premier engineering institute which continues to update methods of engineering and technology to improve the human resources of the service and production sectors and is dedicated to the society . The College provides its students with modern technical education facilities by means of its offered disciplines (both undergraduate and postgraduate) maintaining cultural and religious values. And using its strong industrial links and institutional contacts, The College tries its best to mold fresh young admitted students ,into talented individuals equipped with engineering knowledge bases to face , compete and tackle the rapidly and competitively changing environment .

The College, with its highly qualified, competent, motivated and experienced faculty members, provides the generation updated quality technical education to make them fully able to contribute in the making of the society well established and advanced in all civil , moral and engineering fields. The College educates individuals to be competitive and resourceful, not only in the country but in the society as a whole. The College adopts a dynamic, high-quality, updated and communicative approach in furnishing technical education (in all its HND, B. Tech. and M. Tech. courses) , as well as research and development in concerned disciplines it offers.

Organizing seminars and conferences ,with the cooperation of national and international institutions, has been the regular feature of the college. Further , it is also actively serious to raise the foreign language proficiency of the students and to achieve that goal it is actively running language courses supplying high quality labs and national and foreign faculty members and trying to make its country's dream of being one of the most enlightened and advanced countries of the earth come true.
